Dr. Jörg Andreas Geyer studied law at the Julius Maximilian University in Würzburg and at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg. As part of his internationally oriented studies, he spent a year at Columbia University in New York, USA.
After completing his legal clerkship in Aschaffenburg with the second state examination, he was admitted to the bar in 1997. Until 1999, Dr. Geyer worked in a medium-sized law firm.
Since 2000 he has been advising and representing UVF member companies in all matters of labour and social law. His main areas of practice are restructuring and transfers of undertakings.
Dr. Geyer is a specialist lawyer for labour law and a speaker at labour law events.
He has been authorised to represent clients before all German labour courts and regional labour courts up to the Federal Labour Court.
Dr. Geyer is an honorary judge at the Hessian Labour Court.
