Services

The priority of their work is to represent members' interests in a highly professional manner. We represent the interests of our members in their relations with labour organisations in a manner appropriate to specific industries. We provide support and advice in the fields of labour and social services law as well as regarding any questions which touch upon social and political issues. We provide information and coordination services, perform promotional work and act as an opinion multiplier.

• In individual labour law we offer support for any questions related to daily human resources work such as hiring, classifying, firing, warning, child-care leave, etc. This also applies to advisory services as well as to any necessary court actions.

• For problems related to collective labour law we join our members in seeking legal solutions in all subject areas of the Works Council Constitution Act. Of course we also support our member businesses in matters involving arbitration procedures.

• Negotiating separate labour contracts at individual companies is one of our core services.

• We assist our members in the resolution of all questions related to social law. This applies to cancellation agreements, the release of employees, the treatment of parts of employee income, one-off payments, etc. We also offer support in actions involving reclaims of the social insurance agency, whether in administrative actions or actions in the social courts.

We invite our members to business conferences which take place four times a year. In addition to information about new subjects related to labour and social law, the business conferences provide a platform for employees of our member companies to share their experience. This is supplemented by informational events focused on special subject areas.

Our members can subscribe to e-mailed information made available by our Verbands-Informations-System (V.I.S.) (Association-Information-System). At this site they can obtain information on labour and social law which is updated on a daily basis. This is supplemented every 14 days by the association's newsletter whose subject areas are labour law, occupational science, human resources and collective labour law, taxes and social insurance, business economics and the environment, political economics and statistics, education and Europe.
